Imphal, March 03 2009:: In today�s matches of the 11th Dr Kanti Mukherjee Memorial Invitation Hockey Tournament 2008-09 organised by the Manipur Hockey Association at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium, Imphal, UYAC and PHAM defeated their respective opponents.

Today�s first match was played between SAIRC, Takyel and UYAC, Kongba Uchekkon.

Both teams fought well for their victory.

But UYAC beat SAIRC 7-3 and won the match.

Although SAIRC lose the match but the first goal of the match was scored by Ph Sova of SAIRC in the 7th minute of the match.

The other two goal of SAIRC were scored by M Amarjit and H Sanatomba in the 60th and 67th minute of the match.

On the other hand S Honda of UYAC scored four goals against SAIRC in the 37th, 56th, 59th and 63rd minute of the match.

M Mirple, N Rajesh and A Boinao also scored one goal each against SAIRC in the 19nth, 25th and 61st minute of the match.

Ng Sanayaima and M Amarjit of SAIRC were issued a green card by the centre referee for their misbehave during the progress of the match.

The second match was won by PHAM after dumping its opponent YAC 11-0 in an easy-to-win match.

PHAM players dominated the match from the very beginning of the match giving no chance for YAC to strike back.

Kh Kothajit of PHAM alone scored six goals against YAC.

The goals were scored in the 23rd, 34th, 39th, 53rd, 59th and 69th minute of the match.

Kh Rabikanta also scored three goals against YAC in the 32nd, 58th and 66th minute.

The other two goals were scored in the 31st and 46th minute of the match by Sh Nilakanta and Ksh Wangamba of PHAM respectively.

No players of YAC could score a single goal against PHAM in the match.

Kh Rabikanta of PHAM was issued a yellow card for his unsporting behaviour during the match.
