6th Thongju Cup : BPYC, RSC, ASA and SWC emerge victorious

BPYC, RSC, ASA and SWC emerged victorious in today's league matches of the 6th Thongju Cup 2018 which got underway at SWC Ground, Khongman from yesterday.
The football tournament is being organised by Thongju Kendra United Clubs Association with a total of 14 teams clubbed into 4 groups taking part in it.
The first league match of the day saw BPYC ride on L Dinesh's brace to get better of YWC by 3-1 goals.
G Muktasana of YWC hit the opener in the 14th minute before BPYC made a stunning comeback in the latter part of the game.
Y Loyamba of BPYC scored the equaliser in the 28th minute to enter into the break with a 1-1 draw while L Dinesh scored two goals back to back in the 50th and the 53rd minute to wrap the game 3-1 .
In another similar encounter, RSC edged past SEYO 4-2 in a tensely contested match.
N Michol put RSC ahead with a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute before Ksh Jimmy of SEYO struck a clinical shot and equalised the score till the end of the first half.
The second half went entirely in the hands of RSC and it were L Roshan, K Ranavasho and Th Paikhomba who slotted home the ball in the 44th, 46th and the 48th minute to make it 4-1.Ksh Sumeshkanta of SEYO however grabbed a nice opportunity to put in a goal in the 56th minute to finish the game 2-4 .
The third match of the day saw ASA relied on L Biju and Arunkumar to thrash Meira by 8-1 goals.
L Biju of ASA was unstoppable as he scored five goals (9', 16', 18', 23', 33') for ASA in this one sided match while Arunkumar scored two goals (24', 34') .
Rozelkumar of ASA also added a goal in the 30th minute after K Robert of Meira scored a goal in the 25th.In yet another similar ending, SWC were able to drub YDO by 8-2 goals in a very lopsided match.
It rained goals as A Dingku (16', 21'), Ch Sushilkumar (28', 40') and S Pradipkumar (37', 56') scored two goals each while Ksh Nitinraj and S Thoinao netted one goal each for SWC.
N Yaiphaba scored both goals for YDO, one in the 33rd and the 43rd minute.
