Walkathon to promote Fit India held

Kakching, April 02 2021: In its association with the 'Fit India Campaign' launched by Government of India, Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a 'Walkathon' to promote Fit India in Kakching Garrison of Assam Rifles yesterday, said a statement of PRO IGAR(S) .

A total of 59 families and 40 children of the garrison participated in the 2 Km run aimed at promoting a fit and healthy lifestyle, it added.

The importance of physical activities during these stressful times of COVID-19 pandemic needs no special emphasis.

People of all age groups need to be active as it has multiple health benefits like boosting the immune system, reducing stress and preventing weight gain.
