Two more medals for Manipur at National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championships

Manipur continued their medal-winning performance at the National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championships 2024 in Haryana, securing a gold and a silver medal on the third day of competition.
The female poomsae team, consisting of Nelia Irungbam, Nongthombam Lamnganbi, and Noreena Maibam, delivered an outstanding performance to claim the gold medal on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the male poomsae team-com prising Watham Chiwang, Trilok Ningombam, and Naorem Leisemba - earned silver medal.
Earlier, on Saturday, Manipur produced a strong showing, collecting a total of seven medals, including three gold and four bronze.
Venus Thaoroijam (50kg), Yumnam Depika Devi (U-35kg), and Sukham Tondonba Singh (U-41kg) were the top performers.
Additionally, Asem Holina (U-38kg), Linthoinganbi Lourambam (U-32kg), Nelia Irungbam (poomsae event), and Watham Chiwang (poomsae) each earned a bronze medal on the second day of the championship.
