Gunindro to face Khomei in above 45 years men's singles final

Imphal, February 01 2018: S Gunindro will meet T Khomei in the above 45 years men's singles final of the Non State Badminton Toumament which began yesterday at Yairipok Badminton Association Indore Stadium, Yairipok Bishnunaha.

In the first semi-final, T Khomei edged out K Kaminikumar 21-16, 18-21, 21-15 to book his final berth while S Gunindro got better of Th Biramangol Meetei by 21 -14, 21 -9 sets in the other semi final match.

In the men's doubles quarter final match, the pair of Ch Imo and M Enao dumped Anil Lonjam and Tikendrajit 21-17, 21-14 to cruise into semi final while Kh Niranjan and Kh Punsiba edged out the pair of Ch Premson and L Socrates 18-21,21-18, 21-15 in the second quarter final match.

Asem Bankim teamed up with S Manisana outclassed Dhimi Keisam and L Premjit by 21-12, 21-19 sets in the third quarter final.

The last quarter final match of the men's doubles saw Okram Deban and Sorokhaibam Someshkumar beat Ch Tomba and L Rakesh Roshan 21-23, 22-20, 21-10 for a place in the last 4 round.

In the first men's doubles quarter final match for above 50 years, Th Okendro and Waikhom out classed T Gourav and Th Brajakeshwar 21-19, 21-15 while in the second quarter final match, Ch Kamini and S Manichandra defeated Md Gafar and S Ibohal by 21-13, 21-23, 21-9 to advance into semis.

Ak Bony and Kh Tom Tom edged out Kh Niranjoy and Mutum Manichandra by 21 -19, 19-21,21-16 sets in the first men's doubles quarter final match for above 35 years while L Lolin and Sh Pravin Singh came over N Premjit and Th Romenkumar 21-11, 19-21, 21-14 to reach last four stage.
