Imphal, December 31 2013 : 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) collaboration with Moreh Youth Club organised a Football Match at Kut Ground, Moreh yesterday.

The Inaugural ceremony was presided over by Commandant, 9 Assam Rifles.

A keen sportsman himself, the Commandant highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of personality of an individual.

He was appreciative of the noble initiative taken up by Assam Rifles and Moreh Youth Club Veterans to promote football in Manipur and give Manipuri youth an opportunity to showcase their talent.

A large number of community leaders and locals were in attendance to mark the essence of friendship between Assam Rifles and people of Moreh.

Football Match kicked off with great zeal amidst grandeur, pomp and show.

The match was played between 9 Assam Rifles and Morey Youth Club with great enthusiasm and sportsman spirit amongst an encouraging crowd of football enthusiasts.
