Chandel Super Division Football League : Lambung YCC overwhelm Hnahringkhu YC 5-0 to consolidate pole position

Imphal, October 30 2024: Lambung YCC rode on LH Shelpa's treble to drub Hnahringkhu YC 5-0 and consolidate their position on top of the ADC Chandel Super Division Football League 2024 .

With the win, Lambung YCC extended their unbeaten run to four games and winning run to three.

NC Phantungam opened the scoring for Lambung YCC in the 10th minute to earn his team a 1-0 first half lead before LH Shelpa led the onslaught in the second half to pump in four goals and set up the commanding 5-0 win against Hnahringkhu YC who are winless in four games in the 6-team league tournament.

Shelpa had his first in the 56th minute before scoring another goal in the 67th minute to make it 3-0 before HC Phantungam completed his double to further extend the lead.

Shelpa was at it again in the 76th minute to give Lambung YCC a 5-0 lead and the scoreline remained intact despite chances in the later stages.

Earlier in the day, Chumbang FC and Chandel Khullen YC played out a 1-1 draw.

Chumbang FC enjoyed a 1-0 lead almost through the game courtesy of Ahong's 10 minute strike but Bungdam struck the equaliser one minute into the stoppage time (80+1') to salvage Chandel Khullen YC a point.
