LS Trophy 2022 : TASA, Gorkha 11 stretch winning run as Gongai hold SYC

Kangpokpi, August 27 2022: Twilang Area Sporting Association (TASA) and Football Club Gorkha 11 Manipur registered wins at the ongoing Len and Sang Trophy, 2022 at Brig M Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi district HQs.

In a group A encounter, TASA had an easy 3-0 win over Hintwi Football Club to earn another full point after its first 1-0 win over Haipi Youth Athletics.

Ngamgoumang (7th minute), Lalkhanlen (41st minute), and Dongouthang (55th minute) scored for the Twilang side.

Similarly, Football Club Gorkha 11 Manipur also continued to move ahead with another win in today's group D encounter in the third match.

Despite a 3-0 victory over Eimi Students' Fellowship in their first match in the tournament, Saikotjang Youth Club was held to a 1-1 draw by Golngai Football Club in today's group B encounter in the first match.

Saikotjang Youth Club had led the game after Malsawm found an opener in the 35th minute before the end of the first half.

However, Golngai FC had a better comeback in the second half to find an equalizer in the 61st minute through Janggou to seal the game in a 1-1 draw.

The Gorkha team, on the other hand, had an easy 3-0 win over South Changoubung Youth Club to earn another three points.

Manoj (4th minute), Rohit (47th minute), and Sonit (70th minute) scored for the Gorkha side.

There will be no match tomorrow.

On Monday, Haipi Youth Athletics will play Hintwi FC in the first match, and Manipur Terrier Imphal will clash with Ninou FC in the second match while L.S.Academy will play Kuki Football Academy in the third match.
