NYVA-B clinch State Mini Boys Volleyball crown

Imphal, August 25 2019: NYVA-B, Naorem outdone TRYVC, Ukhrul in straight set in a keenly contested ultimate clash to win the title of the 18th Mini Boys State Level Volleyball Tournament organised by All Manipur Volleyball Association at Indoor Hall, Khuman Lampak.

NYVA-B faced a stiff opposition from the Ukhrul side but managed to finish the game 26-24, 27-25, 25-20 for the coveted title.

YVA's K Apabi was adjudged best player of the tournament while Phanglei of TRYVC emerged the best spiker.

TRYVC's Sower was on the other hand named best discipline player.

Earlier, NYVA-B carved out a 3-2 sets win (20-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-8) against KLYGC, Kangmong to set up final clash with TRYVC which saw off AMYC, Andro Machengpat 25-20, 23-25, 25-14, 25-15 in the first semi-final.

Yesterday in the quarter final matches, KLYGC, Kangmong edged out RYC Keibi (25-12, 21-25, 25-14, 25-20); AMYC outshone HYDCCL 27-29, 25-22, 25-8, 25-16; TRYVC got the better of YMDO, Heirangoithong 25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 26-24 and NYVA-B thrashed PRSC, Pourabi 29-27, 25-16, 25-18 .
