Kakching, February 22 2015: SSU, Singjamei lifted the DSA Trophy N Bhubon Memorial Football Tournament after defeating MPSC 3-2 on Sunday.

All goals were scored in the second half which was filled with excitement till the dying seconds.

Riyash broke the deadlock in the 51st minute while teammate Gogocha found the net eight minutes later to put SSU 2-0 ahead.

The policemen cut the lead in the 64th minute as Khem Bahadur put the ball past the SSU goalkeeper.

SSU regained the two-goal lead in the 80th minute through Sahidur Rehman but MPSC players kept pushing till the end and were rewarded again in added time.

Gogocha was adjudged the player of the final match.

The final match of the tournament being played at DSA Kakching Ground was watched by approximately 3000 spectators.

G Golmei who scored six goals in the tournament bagged the Mani Singh Award for the highest goal scorer.

On the other hand, MPSC custodian Joseph was declared the best goalkeeper while Sahidur Rehman of SSU received the Man of the Tournament Trophy.

Md Imran and A Arun, both from SSU, were declared the best midfielder and best defender respectively.

The winners also bagged the Fair Play trophy.

A Priyokumar of LAMFA-Heirok was given the best manager award.
