TRAU ease into MNCA Elite Tournament final

Imphal, July 20 2022:
TRAU (Kwakeithel) eased their way into the final by pulling off an 83 run win over Blue Hawk (Khurai) in the first semifinal match of the 6th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite tournament played at Luwang pokpa Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
The Kwakeithel side were all out for 163 in 38.5 overs but they successful defended their total courtesy of their fine bowling attack led by Priyojit Kangabam.
In the TRAU innings.
Pukhrambam Prafullomani Singh top scored with 76 off 86 balls, followed by Priyojit Kanganbam (22), Bijenkumar N ongm aithcm (12), Anand Naorem (11), Amritakaran Yumnam (11).Puinachandra Sharma Anoubam (6 not out), Rahul Rajkumar (4).Bchul Moibungkhongbam (2) and Borish Khomdam (1) .
Priyojit Kangabam , who made 22 runs in their innings, shone with th e ball as he ripped through Blue Hawk batting order and finished with 5 wickets off his 5.3 overs.
Blue hawk were dismissed for 80 in 26.3 overs as Ningombam Jackiechan scored an unbeaten 27 in a losing cause.
Borish Khomdram was also impressive, racking up 3 wickets for TRAU while Amritkaran Yumnam and Thounaojam Rishikanta chipped in with one apiece.
Earlier.
Mutum Pritam (4 w ickets) and Wakabam Samson (3) were the main wicket takers for Blue Hawk.
Priyojit Kangabam , who took 5 wickets and scored 22 runs, was adjudged man of the match.
The second semifinal match will see Cyclone meet PTRC on Thursday.
