Imphal, December 19 2021: UBFC, Ukhrul thrash visitors UBSA, Kakching 4-0 at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong today to emerge 6-2 aggregate winners and progress into the next stage of the 25th Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial Winners' Cup for Men 2021-2022.UBFC and UBSA played out a 2-2 at the latter's home ground at Mantak on December 16.UBFC were in command from the word go and got the breakthrough as early as 4 minutes via Ramsenpam before Thotngayung doubled the team's lead in the 20th minute.

The Ukhrul team, despite the huge lead, kept pressing their rivals and eventually had their third with Khangampam finding the target in the 32nd minute to make the scoreline read 3-0 before till halfway.

UBFC, looked to sit back after the restart and stonewalled all efforts of UBSA to claw back until Khangampam completed his brace in the 69th minute to give UBFC an unassailable 4-0 lead and the eventual 6-2 aggregate victory.

MCK, Bishnupur will host UBFC at DSA Bishnupur on December 27 (last 8 stage) before the reverse fixture at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong on December 29 .
