FC Lamjao overwhelm KMSWC 8-1, DYAedge past PYC 3-2

Kakching, October 19 2018: FC Lamjao trounced KMSWC, Keirak 8-1 in a very one sided match while DYA, Elangkhangpokpi edged over PYC, Keirak by 3-2 goals in another match at the ongoing 16th Kishorkumar Memorial 1st Division League/tournament organised by District Sports Association, Kakching at LYA ground, Wangoo Laipham ground, Wangoo today.

The first match of the day and the 9th league match of the tournament saw DYA, Elangkhangpokpi made a superb comeback after trailing behind by 2 goals to edge past PYC by 3-2 goals.

PYC had a great start as Md Raz Khan hit the opener in the 16th minute while S Yumlemba doubled PYC's lead through his strike 3 minutes latter.

W Sadananda of DYA however pulled back a goal in the 26th minute before E Nilakanta levelled the scored during the stoppage time of the first half and gave fresh hope to DYA.

After the restart, DYA started to dominate the game and PYC were busy guarding their goalline and hardly made any attack.

The relentless attacks by DYA forwards left the Keirak side defence in lurch and it was in the 37th minute that Th Krishnakanta sneaked into the box and banged in a power-packed shot to make it 3-2 which remained unchanged till the final whistle.

Md Faraz of PYC was yellow carded by the referee for his unsporting behaviour in the 57th minute.

The second match of the game witnessed FC Lamjao ran riot against the defence line up of KMSWC to seal a landslide 8-1 win.

Th Premkumar and L Kishan wreaked havoc to hand the Lamjao side the huge win today.

L Kishan opened up the scoring early in the 11 th minute and went on to score two more goals in the 47th and the 50th minute while Th Premkumar shone with 4 goals coming up in the 17th, 30th, 57th and the 60th minute.

The other goal came up in the form of an own goal by Beelal of in the 56th minute who managed to put in a goal in the 52nd minute for his team KMSWC, Keirak.

Next Matches: SWC, Waikhong will face DYA, Elangkhangpokpi in the next match at 1 pm on October 21 while the second match at 2.55 pm will see LYA, Wangoo take on PYC, Keirak.
