Thang-Ta Oja Prem Kumar leaves for South Korea

Imphal, August 19 2015: Thang-Ta expert and master Huidrom Prem Kumar on Wednesday left Imphal for Chungju-City, South Korea to participate in the World Martial Arts Union's general body meeting and the 12th Chungju World Martial Arts Festival scheduled between August 22 and 30 (Nine Days).

Prem Kumar has been invited by the World Martial Arts Union, Chungju-City along.

On August 24, another delegation led by Nameirakpam Jiban will leave Imphal for the World Martial Arts Festival and Asian Thang-Ta Championship.

The team will comprise of Laimayum Tompapu Sharma; Nameirakpam Lamyanba Mangang; Wahengbam Clinton; Ngasepam Dineshwor; Pukhrambam Hepari Meitei; Wahengbam Prithi raj and Waikhom Sonia.

During the festival, participants from 30 countries will exhibit their won indigenous martial arts.
