Lunginthang brace fires JSYC 3-0 past MPSC

Imphal, March 17 2019: Lunginthang scored twice and Seineo grab an additional time goal to help JSYC, Sadar Hills thrash MPSC by 3-0 goal in the ongoing 23rd Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial Winners' Cup for Men 2019 organised by All Manipur Football Association, today at MPTC ground.

Playing at home, MPSC failed to put life into the game as they had a disastrous first half before getting worse in the second half.

Although the two sides spent a barren first half, JSYC shifted gears in the second half and went ahead of the home team through Lunginthang's shot in the 53rd minute.

JSYC sustained the pressure in search of more goals and Lunginthang was at it again as he beat MPSC keeper in the 69th minute to hand his team a 2-0 lead.

MPSC tried hard to claw back into the game but ended without any positive result and their condition further worsened when Seineo of JSYC drove home the last nail during the stoppage time.
