Imphal, August 16 2013 : All Manipur Carrom Association has opened the 23rd State Level Age Group and Inter- District Carrom Championship at its Mapal Kangjeibung premises from today.

Altogether 20 cadet boys; 34 sub-junior boys and girls; 46 junior boys and girls, 76 senior men and women and 8 veteran men are participating in the state level competition, while players from Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Imphal East and Churachanpur are competing in the district level.

In the inter district matches played today, four teams entered the semifinals; Imphal East (A) entered semifinals by defeating Imphal West (C) 2-1, Bishnupur by defeating Thoubal 3-0; Imphal West by beating Imphal East 3-0 and Imphal East (B) dominating CCpur 2-1 .
