State Level Archery Championship : Manglemsana, Ramakanta win compound event gold medals

Imphal, October 14 2024: Ksh Manglemsana of SAC, Top Mayai Leikai and Sh Ramakanta of SAI-RC, Takyel secured senior women and men's individual compound gold medals in the ongoing 34th Senior State Archery Championship 2024 .

Ksh Manglemsana shot 145 points in the individual competition to seal the gold as H Alphabati of SAI-RC settled for the silver medal with 138 points.

P Lily Chanu finished third in this competition to win a bronze medal for MPSC.

Meanwhile in the men's competition, Sh Ramakanta of SAI-RC edged M Bikram of UAC, Patsoi by 149-144 points to win the gold medal.

S Johnson of SAC secured the bronze medal in this event.

The day also saw KMAC, Langmeidong sweep three gold, one silver and one bronze medals in Indian Round competitions.

In the women's individual competition, L Rojina Devi of KMAC beat compatriot Mellenia Thokchom 7-1 to seal the gold medal as T Suprina of NSA settled for the bronze medal.

In the individual men's event, LMLCC, Langmeidong registered 6 points against ARAC's E Robinson who added 0 points to win the gold medal as KMAC's Ch Nelson grabbed the bronze medal.

In the women's team event, KMAC team comprising L Rojina, Mellennia Thokchom and M Baby scored 5 points to win the gold medal as AAC, Iroishemba team of H Roshina, N Linthoisana, M Anjali and Kh Subharani shot 1 point to bag the silver medal.

NSA team of Th Suprina, S Priyanka, Th Ritika and S Mayarani settled for the bronze medal in this competition.

M Bikash, Ch Bison, Ch Nelson and O Inaocha of KMAC meanwhile edged past LMLCC team of Shelheiba Leitanthem, S Jenibash, Y Bishan and H Hemjit 26-25 in the shoot-off after a 4-4 tie.

YAC team of K Borish, K Rabichandra and H Mangalleiba finished third in the competition to settle for the bronze medal.
