Imphal, October 13 2024: AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal will lock horns against YPC, Ishok for the title of the 23rd Sub-Junior Boys State Volleyball Tournament being hosted by the All Manipur Volleyball Association at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

AMIMYDO entered the final with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-14 win over NYVA, Naorem today in the first semi-final match before YPC, Ishok got the better of YGC, Wakhong 25-17, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 16-14 in a five set thriller.

The final match begins at 2.30 pm tomorrow.

The day also saw completion of the semi-final and quarterfinal line up of the 48th Senior Men and Women's State Volleyball Tournaments.

Senior Women

SDVA, Senapati will play MPSC and TRYVC, Ukhrul will play SCYC, Senjam Chirang for the two final tickets in the 48th Senior Women's State Volleyball Tournament.

SDVA reached the semi-final as Group A winners as they thumped SCYC 25-14, 25-13 in a crucial group match for the third straight win.

SCYC eventually finished Group A runners up and qualified for the semis along with SDVA.

In a dead rubber Group A match, NSU beat NYVA 25-22, 25-16 to finish the campaign with a win.

TRYVC meanwhile topped Group B as they beat KDVA, Kamjong 25-15, 25-11 for the fourth straight win as MPSC prevailed 25-17, 25-16 over NDVA, Noney for third win in four matches to finish group runners.

Earlier in the day, NDVA beat CDVA, Chandel 25-18, 17-25, 15-13 for their first win in three matches.

Senior Men

The fourth day of the 48th Senior Men's State Volleyball Tournament saw the end of the league stage and completion of the quarterfinal line up.

Group A winners, SCYC will play Group B runners up AAVA, Andro in the first quarterfinal match before Group B winners MPSC play Group D runners up NYVA, Naorem in the second quarterfinal match.

Group C winners AMIMYDO will play Group A runners up HVA, Heigrujam in the third quarterfinal match before Group D winners KYLSC, Kachikhul take on Group C runners up TRYVC in the fourth quarter final match.

KDVA, Kamjong beat SEDO, Nongmaikhong 25-14, 19-25, 15-17 in the first Group C match of the day to post their second win in four matches before AMIMYDO thumped TRYVC 25-21, 25-20 for the fourth straight win and to go top of the group.

In another group C match staged later in the day, EAGLE, Ukhrul beat SEDO 20-25, 26-24, 20-18 .

In the first Group D match, KYLSC beat NYVA 25-18, 25-17 for their second win in three matches before NSU beat MRC 25-6, 25-13 in the second Group D match. KYLSC then went on top of the group with a 25-14, 25-18 win over YPC, Ishok later in the day.

In the Group A matches, SCYC emerged on top of Group A as they beat NDVA, Noney 25-16, 25-13 for their fourth straight victory as YMDO ended their campaign with a 20-25, 25-20, 15-8 win over SDC, Shamurou.

In the Group B matches, AAVA beat UKVC 25-22, 25-23 in a close contest to finish group runners up as IGO, Oinam beat CDVA, Chandel 25-15, 25-19 .

The final match is slated for October 15 .
