AMOFA draw KRFC as 1st K Babu emorial Super Divn Football League tourney begins

Imphal, October 11 2019: The 1st edition of Keisam Babu Memorial Super Division Football League tournament began today in the presence of S Bira Singh, MLA, Kumbi AC and M Prithiviraj Singh, former MLA Moirang AC as chief guest and functional president.

The inaugural function was also attended by M Romibala Devi, Chairperson, Moirang Municipal Council and M Basan Singh, Vice Chairperson, Moirang Municipal Council along with other Councillors of the body as guests of honour.

The opening match of the tournament being organised by District Football Association, Moirang and participated by four teams, saw AMOFA, Moirang hold to a 1-1 draw by KRFC, Komrem at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School ground.

AMOFA were leading 1-0 in the first with H Sailesh finding the target in the 27th minute but M Chuneireng Kom drew level for KRFC in the 70th minute to help his team salvage a point.

FC Moirang will meet AKSA, Kwakta in the next match tomorrow at 3 pm at the same venue.
