KK College archers shine on final day of MU Inter college tournament

Kakching Khunou College collected three gold medals on the final day of the Manipur University Inter College Archery (M&W) Tournament 2024, held at Regional College, Lilong Chajing on Saturday.
Kakching Khunou College claimed three of the six gold medals on offer on the last day of the competition, winning both the Indian round men's and women's individual events, as well as the women's recurve event.
Alongside their gold medals, Kakching Khunou College earned three bronze medals.
S Jenibash Singh clinched the gold medal in the Indian round men's event, while M Bijash Singh of Pole Star College secured the silver, and Y Bishan Singh (Kakching Khunou College) took the bronze.
L Rojina Devi won the women's Indian round event, with Pole Star College's Y Bidylaxmi and Y Reshmi earning the silver and bronze, respectively.
L Rabina won Kakching Khunou College's other gold medal in the women's recurve event, finishing ahead of Pravabati College's S Henthoi, who took silver.
H Shandyarani came in third to add a bronze to Kakching Khunou College's tally.
Meanwhile, Pole Star College's Md Amir Arshad secured the gold medal in the men's recurve contest, while Regional College's L Yohenba Meitei finished second for silver and Kakching Khunou College's L Orbit bagged the bronze.
In the women's compound event, Pravabati College's H Alphabati took home the gold medal, Manipur University's M Roshni and I Ratna got the silver and the bronze, respectively.
The tournament attracated 53 archers, including 17 women, representing 12 colleges.
The closing ceremony was attended by Y Sunil Singh, secretary Regional College, and Dr M Memtonbi Devi, principal Regional College, as chief guest and president, respectively.
