JSYC clinch Mangboi Cup 2012

Kangpokpi, December 07 2012:
JSYC, J Songtun, Sadar Hills clinched the 5th Mangboi Memorial Cup Football Open Tournament 2012 championship title after defeating Molsang Youth Club 2-1 in the final match played today at Brig.
Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi.
Thangtinlen (44th/82nd) scored for the champion side while the consolation goal of Molsang Youth Club was scored by Haokam in 88th min.
Jampao and Helkhohao of JSYC were booked yellow card for their unsupporting manner in the 62nd and 83rd min.respectively.
FC Khanglai and Sahei FC, Keithelmanbi begged 3rd and 4th place respectively.

The closing ceremony of the tournament is attended by Shri.
Ngamthang Haokip, Hon'ble minister IFCD, Printing & Stationery, Govt.of Manipur and Smt.
Nemcha Kipgen, MLA 50-Kangpokpi A/C as Chief Guest and Functional President respectively.
M Prithiviraj, Parliamentary Secretary (Spot and Tourism), Govt of Manipur has been invited as Guest of Honour but due to his tight scheduled he could not attended the function.
Chungkam, President, Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, H Rupachandra, Addl.
Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi, Maj Marathe, 43 Assam Rifles, Kangpokpi Post Commander, some EM, Members of ADC Sadar Hills, Reverends, Pastors, KTC, KWWO and KYU member also attended the function as Special Guest.
Joyce, wife of Late Mangboi while speaking at the function articulates her heartfelt gratitude to the organizing committee and to all the participants.
She also calls upon that the memorial tournament in the name of her beloved husband be the foundation of peace through games and sports among the society.
Nemcha Kipgen, MLA convey her satisfaction to the organizing committee and encourages them to organizes the tournament much better in the near future.
Ngamthang Haokip, Minister IFCD, Printing and Stationery, Govt of Manipur weights the significance sports terming Sports as next to Education.
He also said that, in Sports drugs have no place to dwell, so every sport loving persons should avoid drugs.
After the prizes distribution the minister de-hoisted the 5th Mangboi Memorial Cup 2012 flag.
Tournament best discipline team award has been awarded to Chikim FC, Langol while Thangtinlen of JSYC begged the top scorer award.
He scored 9 goals in the tournament.
Thangtinpao of Molsang Youth Club begged the best keeper award while Thangminlen of JSYC has been awarded the Man of the Match award.
Champion of the tournament got Rs.50,000 cheque+Medal+Certificate and Trophy while 2nd place team got Rs.30,000/- cheque + Medal + Certificate + Shield.
3rd Place team begged Rs.15,000/- cheque and 4th place team got Rs.5,000/- cheque.
