1st MAICHON Trophy : A2 Patsoi cruise into quar final as Group winners

Imphal, April 07 2019: A2 Patsoi were able to finish Group D winners after draw of lots favoured them and reached the knock-out stage (quarter finals) of the 1st MAICHON Trophy, 2019 7-A-side State Level Open Football Tournament being organised by Manipur Imagi Changdamnapham Oiba Nachasing, MAICHON at Charangpat Mamang Leikai Pologround.

A2 played out a 2-2 draw with Deny FC which left the both teams level on points, goal differences, goal against, goal for in the league stage rendering draw of lots to decide the Group winners.

Deny FC enjoyed a 1-0 first half lead but A2 Patsoi made a good return to draw level before emerging triumphant by draw of lot.

Gopi opened up the scoring in the 11th minute to give Deny FC the lead but Chaoba of A2 Patsoi slotted twice, the equaliser in the 25th minute before breaking the deadlock in the 48th minute.

Deny FC however replied positively to pull level the next minute and made it 2-2 at the end of normal time.
