Ward No 9 celebrate victories in KIWT 2020

Kangpokpi, February 04 2020: Celebrating its victories and achievements in the recently concluded 16th Kanggui Inter Ward Tournament 2020, mothers/women of Ward No 9 in collaboration with the Ward Committee and Youth Club felicitated football veteran and main championship today.

The celebration and felicitation program was held at Salem Academy Jr High School campus at Ch Avenue, Ward No 9, Kangpokpi DHQs.

Lunseh Kipgen, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee graced the occasion as chief guest while Hekim Hangshing, Chairperson, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization and Thangkhohao Hangshing, Chairman, Ward No.9 Committee attended as guest of honour and functional president respectively.

Apart from other ward representatives, all other members of Kangpokpi Town Committee, members of Kangpokpi Youth Union, GUDUP members also attended the function while Rev Tongkhojang Lhouvum attended as 'Kin Thempu' (Minister).

Kimlhing Lhanghal, Advisor of Ward No 9 Women Wings said, "We have participated in the Inter Ward Tournament every year with a hope to achieve big but our efforts have paid dividend this year as the veteran and main football emerged champions".

Ward No 9 Youth Club president Thangminhao Vaiphei introduced veteran and main football players while Rev Tongkhojang Lhouvum invoked blessing prayer on the stage in the presence of the all dignitaries after dedicating the offering made by the Ward Chairman wife Nemkon Hangshing as a mark of gratitude to the Almighty for his blessing.

Presentation to the dignitaries, members of KTC, KYU and KWWO were made by the Ward No 9 Women Wings.

Entertainment program was also organized at night which began from 4 pm where various prominent Kuki artistes across the state performed on the stage to entertain the crowd.
