1st NE Women's Football Tournament : AMFA forms tournament committee; announces State squad, match officials

Imphal, July 03 2022: The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) is set to organise the 1st North East Women's Football Tournament sponsored by Anantpura Sports Events Pvt Ltd, Rajasthan at SAI Artificial Turf Ground, Takyel from July 7 to 24 .

For smooth and successful organisation of the tournament, AMFA has constituted a tournament committee.

As per a memorandum issued by AMFA president, Dilbung Kowar will be heading the committee as chairman while S Jiten Meitei was named convenor.

Further, the committee also include 15 members viz- RK Shantikumar, Mohd Zane Khan, Th Jiten, L Landan, K Kashi, H Irabot, RK Momo, K Birendra, Ph Magha, Th Khunjanganbi, RK Janakibala, K Somo, Abul Ipham, M Digbijoy and Wungshung Horam.

Besides the 17-member committee, M Nilo, L Naba and S Maniratan have been named as hostel warden while N Jiban and Th Ojit have been assigned transportation and ground duties respectively.

AMFA has also named 8 members appointed as "Liaison Officers" of State teams participating in the inaugural edition of the North East Women's Football Tourney.

As per a memorandum issued in this regard, S Sarat has been appointed as Liaison Officer for Manipur, W Bankim for Nagaland, Sabir Ali for Assam, Th Naoton for Arunachal Pradesh, I Waqar Yunus for Sikkim, N Borlee for Meghalaya, Kamei for Mizoram and NL Wilpelngam for Tripura.

In another separate memorandum, AMFA also named a 15-member State squad and three team officials for the said tournament.

The players who have been named in the State team are- M Linthoingambi (KRYPH-SA), N Monika (ESU), A Romi (MPSC), Ng Sweety (KRYPHSA), M Achoubi (ESU), W Linthoingambi (KRYPHSA), Y Pakpi (KRYPHSA), W Kanchan (MPSC), N Priyanka (ESU), N Ratanbala (KRYPHSA), Y Kiranbala (ESU), Th Martina (KRYPHSA), I Prameshwori (ESU), S Rinaroy (YWC-L) and A Roja (KRYPHSA) .

In the meantime, officials named to lead the State team are- M Devananda (manager), O Bembem Devi (head coach) and L Ronibala Chanu (GK coach) .

The players named in the State team should report to the team officials on July 5 at 8 am at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkho-ng, the memorandum read.

In the meantime, Match commissioners, referees' assessors and referees for the said tournament have also been named.

As per a memorandum issued by AMFA general secretary, H Khamba and S Jameskumar have been named as match commissioners while I Rabichandra and M Magho have been named as referees' assessors.

The referees who will be conducting matches include- T Ranjita , M Roshini, E Devala, Chim Chim Serto, Joyshing Monsang, L Priyobarta, S Kenedy, Th Parsuram, N Amarjit, Dasao Chapao, HL Atlee and Ng Ananda.

The referees should report to S Jameskumar, convenor, Referees Committee for details of their posting and others, the memorandum added.
