United Chandel FC crowned champions of Chandel Super Div Football League 2024

Imphal, November 01 2024: United Chandel FC became the champions of the Chandel Super Division Football League 2024 with a decisive 3-1 victory over Hnahringkhu YC at Ziontlang Ground, Chandel on Friday.

Finishing the league season undefeated, United Chandel recorded four wins and one draw from their five matches, amassing a total of 13 points to secure the title.

Lambung YCC, following a scoreless draw with Kapaam DC earlier in the day, finished runners-up with 11 points from their five games.

Kapaam DC took third place with 8 points, followed by CKYC with 5 points, CFC with 4, and HYC without points.

United Chandel's final match saw Lael score twice in a commanding performance, with Chungam Chothe opening the scoring in the 15th minute.

Lael doubled the lead in the 27th minute, before Wng Agustin reduced the margin for Hnahringkhu in the 52nd minute.

However, Lael's second goal in the 65th minute restored United Chandel's two-goal cushion, ultimately sealing the win for their title.

Ahong Chothe (Chumbang FC) took home the top scorer trophy, while Lalthangchung Aimol (United Chandel FC) claimed the best player accolade, with Zingthan Shinglai (Kapaam DC) receiving the best goalkeeper honour.
