Unable to tap sports talent in Tamei due to lack of infrastructure: Wilubou Newmai

Imphal, December 30 2021: BJP spokesperson Wilubou Newmai attended the opening ceremony of the "Annual Sports Meet cum Cultural Festival" at Tamah (Piuleklong) village in Tamei block under 5 2-Tamei AC today.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Wilubou Newmai said despite the AC having lots of talent, we are still unable to garner the full potential due to lack of sports infrastructure in Tamei area.

'Our youth are the backbone of our society and we must not allow them to indulge in social evils like drugs.

Parents should encourage children to play sports', he added.

Wilubou Newmai also called upon the local people to be responsible citizens and work for the progress and prosperity of the AC which is one of the most backward ACs in the State.

He said only when the village is developed, development at block and district level will come.

Likewise, districts develop, States develop and when States develop, Nation develops.

Wilubou Newmai also said that the benefits of various development and welfare schemes should never go to the pockets of corrupt netas and babus and they should reach to the grassroot level.

He further said that he will do his best to uproot corruption from the State of Manipur and he will prove that BJP is the party with a difference.

While saying that BJP will focus on the development and progress of downtrodden areas unlike the Congress party, no stone will be left unturned in redressing the genuine grievances of the people.
