Rasmani Memorial Men's Hockey Tournament SYUC, ARC, HU win; ABC hold SEYO

Imphal, February 28 2016: SYUC, ARC and HU claimed victories against their opponents while ABC and SEYO were held 4-4 in the ongoing 4th Y Rasmani Memorial Invitation Men's Hockey Tournament, organised by the Youth Club cum Information Centre, Kontha Ahallup, today at Kontha Ahallup Ground.

In the first match today, SYUC, Uchekol Khunou downed MEIRAA, Bashikhong by a margin of 5 goals to two.

The winning goals of SYUC were scored by M Dhananjoy, M Mantosh, L Deepu, Debeshore and S Amujao in the 25th, 33rd, 34th, 49th and 58th minute respectively.

On the other side, S Johnson (12th) and N Roheshkumar (50th) were the scorers for MEIRAA.

In another match, ARC, Shillong humiliated PHAM, Yaiskul by a margin of 14 goals to one.

Amarjit was the star player of ARC as he scored four goals in the 15th, 23rd, 28th and 41st minute.

The other winning goals came through Heramani (6th, 10th), Chitaranjan (17th, 21st), Shitananda (48th, 50th), Romenkumar (2nd), Lejohn (9th), Harunga (29th) and Jotin (45th).The lone goal of PHAM was found by K Pravin in the 47th minute.

In the third match, ABC and SRYO played out a 4-4 draw.

W Roshan, Th Gitaranjit, N Ratan and Th Tompok scored in the 9th, 16th, 45th and 60th minute for ABC.

For SEYO, G Dingku, Th Henthoiba, Ksh Umashankar and Y Sanoy found targets in the 10th, 24th, 32nd and 37th minute respectively.

In the fourth match of the day, Hockey Union (HU) claimed a convincing 9-3 win against YCPA.

A treble each from N Jetlee (3rd, 43rd, 54th) and Ibomcha (18th, 45th, 51st) and a brace from Ch Sanjit in the 13th and 22nd minute with a strike from W Robinson in the 26th minute gave the nine winning goals to HU.

On the other side, YCPA witnessed their three goals from Lanchenba (37th, 56th) and Joyprakash in the 49th minute.
