Manipur suffer 8-wicket loss to Madhya Pradesh in Sr Women's One Day Trophy

Manipur suffered an 8 wicket loss at the hands of Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing Senior Women's One Day Trophy 2022-23 Group E competition at Infipro Sports Club Ground, Vadodara today.
It was the fifth straight loss for Manipur in the list A cricket tournament for women.
Put in to bat first, Manipur were bundled out for 83 runs in 43.4 overs before Madhya Pradesh chased down the target in 18.5 overs at the cost of two wickets.
For Manipur, Seterny (15), Kalpana (16), Ganga W (17) and Linthoingambi Raj Kumari managed the double digit scores while 6 other batters departed cheapling including three on ducks as Madhya Pradesh bowlers put in a concerted effort to keep the strike rate in check.
Vaishnavi Sharma returned with the best bowling figures of 3/11 in 10 overs of the Manipur innings while Poonam Soni, Priti Yadav and Salonee Dangore shared two wickets each.
In the chase, Neha Badwaik (47 off 57 balls) and Ananya Dubey (26 not out off 36 balls) played key roles to steer Madhya Pradesh to winning 84.Ganga W and Milan Y were able to pick a wicket each in this innings.
Manipur will play Uttar Pradesh in the penultimate Group match on January 29 .
