PSYC beat SFC 1-0 in Kakching 2nd Divn League

Imphal, September 26 2019: PSYC, Phunal defeated SFC, Sugnu by a slender 1-0 margin in the 6th match of the ongoing Sh Rakesh 2nd Division Football League Tournament 2019 being organised by DSA Kakching at its playground.

PSYC which thrashed KTC, Kakching 6-0 in their opening match grabbed the lone goal worthy of a winner through Moshem in the 66th minute of the match after both the teams took off the game cautiously and spent the first half in a 0-0 draw.

Earlier in another clash, KMSWC, Keirak salvaged a 1-1 draw with YWU, Kakching with the help of Md Akbar's second half goal.

YWU dominated the early proceedings and earned the breakthrough in the 4th minute of the match through Nobell.

The first half ended 1-0 in favour of YWU as KMSWC failed to make their efforts count but the latter team upped their ante as soon as the second half resumed and started stringing a series of attack in search of the winner.

Md Akbar who were missing the target on few occasion then found the net in the 61st minute to help KMSWC draw level.

The scoreline however remained unchanged till the final whistle forcing the two teams to share the spoils.

UCC, Kakching will meet YWU in the next fixture on September 28 at 1 pm while FSC will meet SFC latter at 2.30 pm the same day.
