MU team seal Inter College Women's Football title

Imphal, November 25 2019: Manipur University, Canchipur defeated Biramangol College by 5-4 goals 5-4 via penalty after a 2-2 draw during regulation time of the final encounter to win the title of the A Borchand Sing Memorial Inter College Women Football Tournament-2019 organised under the auspices of Manipur University Sports Committee.

Though Ph Sanatombi and Gracy scored one goal each in the 10th and 23rd minute respectively and gave Biramangol College an early 2-0 advantage, Manipur University team made their way back into the game and drew level, thanks to two goals by Luxmi (33') and Borkeina (36') .

And as both failed to break the deadlock during normal time, the winners were decided via tie breaker, in which MU emerged victorious by 1 goal margin.

Ksh Renuka, Borkeina and Monika were on target from the spot for MU while only Gracy and Kabita could do the same for Biramangol College.

M Apan Devi of MU was adjudged best goalkeeper of the tournament while Gracy of Biramangol College was named as the best player.
