AR organises Inter Village volleyball tourney

Imphal, July 25 2018: Somsai Battalion Assam Rifles organised an Inter Village Volleyball Tournament at Awangkasom as part of the mission 'Friendship Through Sports' and their initiative to reach out to the remote villages.

A total of eight teams from Marem Khullen, Awangkasom, Poi, Chingai, Kalhang, Nungbi Khullen, Luirei Simphong and Awangkasom company participated in the tournament and the final match of the tournament was played between Awang Kasom Company and Poi village on July 20 2018 .

The aim of this tournament was to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship among the players, particularly the young generation in order to channelize their energies into a positive way and to further boost their sports skills to a higher level, said a statement issued by IGAR (S) .
