PYC Cup : PYC-A, Meira FC-A roll into semis

Imphal, April 23 2019: PYC-A, Phouden thrashed CYDO FC 5-1 while Meira FC topped PYC-B 3-1 in the last quarter final matches of the ongoing PYC Cup Soccer Tournament organised by Phouden Youth Club at its ground.

In the third quarter final match, James hit the opener in the 19th minute of the match while Johny and Krishnanda scored one goal each in the 27th and the 28th minute respectively to hand Meira FC a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Riyash Khan of PYC-B however pulled back a goal but could not led the team in staging a comeback.

Eventually the game ended 3-1 in Meira FC's favour.

PYC-A rode on Riyas Khan double and a goal each from Sahidur, Thomas and Imran to thrash CYDO-A in the last quarter final match of the tournament.

Sahidur opened up the scoring in the 10th minute of the match while Thomas doubled the lead in the 20th minute.

Despite the 2-0 lead in the first half, PYC-A continued to press their rvials and it was Riyas Khan who banged in the third goal for the team in the 32nd minute before Imran extended the lead to 4-0 in the 37th minute with another fine shot.

Riyas Khan rose again the very next minute to make it 5-0 against CYDO-A which grabbed a consolation goal in the 39th minute of the match.
