RYC cruise to Jiribam 3rd Divn league title

Jiribam, November 22 2019: RYC, Ramgaizang were crowned champions of the 9th District Level Majarun Bibi Memorial 3rd Division Football League Tournament organised by All Jiribam Sports Association (AJSA) after sealing a comfortable 7-0 win over Sunrise Club, Kadamtala in one-sided final match today at Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground.

RYC, apart from enjoying majority of the possession, lead the match by 2 goals at the end of first half, thanks to goals from Ago Gonmei (25') and Glory (30') .

The second half too witnessed Ramgaizang team rampaging the already vulnerable defence of Sunrise Club as the former team netted 5 more goals, one each from G Ramjuanlung (42') and Gaignangdinm (74) and three more from Ago Ronmei (43', 49', 46') to lay their hand on the title.

After the match, both the champions and runners up were encouraged by the dignitaries present with trophies and cash prizes in the presence of Jirbam SP, M Mubi Singh, AJSA president M Brajakanta Singh and donor Md Dil Baharudin as the presidium members.
