Moirang 1st Divn League : Ideal Club edge past GMC 2-1, 2-0 victory for Moirang United

Imphal, October 22 2019: Ideal Club, Sunusiphai managed a 2-1 win against GMC, Phubala while Moirang United thumped MPIIYA 2-0 in Group B league matches of the ongoing 1st L Kerani Memorial 1st Division League at Moirang Multipurpose Ground today.

The league tournament being organised by District Football Association Moirang is featuring a total of 11 teams clubbed into two groups.

In the first Group B league match of the day saw Ideal Club and GMC played out a 1-1 draw but N Dhanabir strike in the second half made the difference and handed Ideal Club all three points.

Ideal Club raced ahead in the 19th minute with P Gedan goal after a cautious start from both ends but Ch Gyaneshor drew level for GMC in the 23rd minute before N Dhanabir scored the winner in the 48th minute of the match.

Meanwhile in the second Group B league match, Moirang United rode on S Nikesh double (39', 51') to beat MPIIYA, Moirang 2-0.City FC, Moirang will meet XI Star, Charangpat tomorrow in a Group A league match at 7 am before FC Kumbi take on SYC, Sagang latter in another Group A fixture at 1.30 pm .
