6th Bob Kathing Sports Week UFC, Huishu FC, UUFC reach quarter finals

Ukhrul, February 22 2018: Ukhrul Football Club (UFC), Huishu FC, United Ukhrul Football club (UUFC) secured wins against their rival today to reach the last 8 stage of the ongoing 6th Major Bob Kathing Sports Week jointly organised by Ukhrul District Sports Association and 27 AR at TNL ground, Wino Bazar, Ukhrul.

UFC fought back from one goal down to beat Ukhrul Police 2-1 in the first match and sealed their place in the quarter finals.

Lalsum of Ukhrul Police struck the opener but second half's brace by Khangater handed UFC the much needed win.

Khangater struck his first goal just two minutes after the break to equalise the score at 1-1 while the winner was scored in the 53rd minute.

In the second match of the day, Huishu FC thumped St Joseph FC 2-0 to book their place in the quarter finals through the goals scored by Worthemngam and Ningam.

The last match saw, UUFC blank Changvei FC 5-0 in a very one sided match.

Zenith opened the account via a spot kick while his compatriots, Tuishim, Reisang, Mathanmi and Tangvah Ragui took their turns to add one goal each in the 28th, 47th, 55th and 67th minute to notched up an overwhelming 5-0 victory.

Flirty FC will lock horns with Evergreen FC at Thahao ground in the women's volleyball final match.

A Choral competition will be held in the evening of the volleyball final at Town Hall, Phungreitang, Ukhrul.
