PTCC, YWC register contrasting wins in MNCA U-14 boys cricket

Imphal, July 20 2022: PTCC (Patsoi) and YWC (Langthabal) registered victorie sin contrusting styles in the MNCA U 14 Boys Tournament on Wednesday.

PTCC thrashed YPHU (Lalambung) by 124 runs at PTRC G round.

Asked to bat first, the winning side scored 260 for 5 in 30 overs as Lanleiba hit 80, Chingakham Nikhil collected 50, Dhirendakishor Naorem made 46 and Hiras Akham contributed 21 .

In reply, YPHU faltered in their run chase and could only manage 136 after being bowled out in 26.4 overs.

Amrenda Prasad Gupta (36) was the only notable performer for the losing side.

Somobanta led the PTCC bowling attack, grabbing 3 wickets.

Devas Tongbram while Sayonba and Sidharth accounted for 1 wicket each.

In other match, YWC beat SHADOW (Thangmeiband) by 13 runs.

YWC batted first and were all out for 163 in 26.5 overs.

Their total revolved around Yumnam Sushi's performance.

He smashed 57 off 26 balls.

Poreinganba Sapam (23) and Yumnam Brightson (20) also made decent contributions in the innings.

YWC then managed to bundle out SHADOW for 150 in 22.5 overs.

Yumnam Athouba turned to be the hero in YWC's triumph.

He picked up 5 wickets.

Yumnam Sushil claimed 2, and Yumnam Brightson and Pukhrambam Bonison took 1 each.

Yumnam Athouba earned himself the man of the match title .

ESU and TRAU will square off on Thursday.
