Imphal, December 19 2018: Chakpikarong Veteran were crowned the champions of Chakpi United Cup 2018 which was organised by Chakpi United Committee since December 10 at Chakpikarong Public Ground featuring a total of 19 teams.

Chakpikarong Veteran which edged out Chakpi United Club 2-1 to reach the final, played out a goalless draw with Duhan FC during the normal time of the final match today and the winners were decided via penalty shoot-out wherein the former team came out on top with 6-5 goals.

Duhan FC which beat Taijang Youth Club 1-0 in the semi-final yesterday, and Chakpikarong Veteran were neck to neck throughout the game sharing almost similar amount of possession and on goal chances but their efforts were off target and eventually the game ended in a goalless draw.

In the penalty shoot-out, Tumtha, Bolen, Kothal, Morningson, Moningtha and KL Bilever scored for the winners Chakpikarong Veteran while Emanuel, Kolni, Atiee, Wolni and Thomson were able to slot home for the Duhan FC.
