WYC, YWA extend winning run in Bpr 2nd Divn League

Imphal, October 18 2019: WYC, Yumnam Khunou thrashed YWO, Bishnupur 5-0 while YWA, Ningthoukhong earned a 3-2 win against Loktak FC, Loktak Project in today's matches of the ongoing 14th N Balananda Memorial Second Division Football League 2019 organised by District Sports Association Bishnupur at Mini Stadium Bishnupur.

In the 6th match of the day, WYC dominated the proceedings right from the beginning but had a narrow 1-0 lead in the first half as O Malemnganba scored the opener in the 18th minute before grabbing three more goals in the second half (47', 51', 55') .

Kh Mex scored the second goal of the match in the 41st minute to help WYC post their second win of the tournament.

Meanwhile in the second match of the day, H Roshan scored thrice to help YWA, Ningthoukhong carved out a 3-2 win against Loktak FC and stretched their winning run.

Loktak FC had the lead early in the third minute as Adai found the net capitalising on an early lapse on the part YWA defence but H Roshan put his team back on track hitting the equaliser in the 36th minute of the match.

H Roshan overturned the lead in the 42nd minute netting his second in the 42nd minute but Ch Korungthang helped Loktak FC level the score to 2-2 in the 48th minute with a fine finish.

It was an end to end affair latter the equaliser until H Roshan scored this third and broke the deadlock in the 60th minute.

The scoreline remained unchanged although Loktak FC toiled hard in the remaining portion of the game.
