Ukhrul girls secure 2nd, 4th spots at 54th Asian C'ship

Ukhrul, July 18 2022: Two Tangkhul girls Solimla Jajo and Solon Jajo secured 2nd and 4th positions at the 54th Asian Body� building & Physique Sports Championships 2022 held in Republic of Maldives from 15 to 21 July 2022 .

Solim la Jajo won silver m edal by securing second position, while Solan Jajogot 4th place m the same cate gory of th e cham pionship event on Monday which was held at Cross Road.

Maldives, informed trainer L Robert Meitei who is an international medallist.

Solon Jajo of leishi village and Solimla Jajo of Kasom Khullen village represented Team India in both the Miss Asia Jr Women's Model Physique and Sr Women's Model Physique 2022 he said.

Solimla Jajo was thecham pion of Miss Manipur Model Physique 2019 in open category and stood 5th place in Federation Cup 2020 .

while Solon Jajo p articip a ted Jr Miss India in 2022 .

Solimla and Solan com pleted their Class XII from Sacred Heart Hr Sec School and Alice Christian Hr Sec School respectiv ely and both passed out in second division.

Both the girls are being trained by 1.Robert Meitei.

w ho is also the principal of Ukhrul Central School (UCS) at hisown Royal Gymnasium located at Phungreitang East in Ukhrul town.

So far the said gym has produced six international athletes, three each from Moreh and Ukhrul.
