Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament MODEL Club-B register 8 wicket victory over DSU

Imphal, March 17 2018: MODEL Club-B, Chingamakha rode on bowler Demin to register an emphatic 8 wicket victory over DSU, Kwakeithel in a Group B league match of the 6th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2017-18 being organised by All Manipur Veteran Cricket Association at Model Higher Secondary School and Oriental College ground.

DSU who won the toss had a dismal start today registering a meagre 60 runs for 10 in 16.2 overs as the bowlers of the Chingamakha side inflicted serious harm through out the whole line up.

Chingtam who made 21 runs off 28 balls was the highest scorer for the Kwakeithel side while the remaining batsmen had to return to the pavilion with single digit scores.

Ashwin and Pyarelal of MODEL Club-B picked up two wickets apiece in 4 overs respectively while Demin put up the man of the match performance dismissing 5 wickets in 3.2 overs.

MODEL Club chased the target in just 10.2 overs for the loss of two wickets.

It was Pyarelal who took the batting lead scoring 18 runs off 23 balls and stayed not out.

Aiding Pyarelal, S Sunil blasted off 28 runs in 24 balls and helped his team in reaching the target easily.

Jiten of DSU was able to claim both the wickets in the second inning.

MODEL CLub B will meet KSC, Old Lambulane in a Group B league match on March 19 while NAPSA, Kha Imphal will face YWC, Langthabal in a Group A league match the next day.
