NESU, NACO script comprehensive wins in 17th Manipur State League

Imphal, February 16 2025: North Eastern Sporting Union (NESU), Khurai and NACO, Nambul Mapak registered commanding wins in today's matches of the ongoing 17th Manipur State League.

NESU produced a dominating performance in a Group A encounter this afternoon at Sagolmang ground to seal a commanding 6-0 victory against Youth Organisation Sporting Club (YOSC), Khurai.

Md Mustofa (12', 36', 71') scored thrice in this one sided encounter for NESU as substitute Nonglemba Yambem scored twice in the second half (61', 79') to set up the huge win.

The other goal was scored by Meisnam David Meitei in the 30th minute of the match.

In another Group A match staged at the same venue later in the day, Milan FA, Keibi played out a goalless draw with TRAU, Kwakeithel.

Elsewhere in a Group B match staged this afternoon at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, NACO pulled off a 3-0 win over Keinou Library and Sports Association (KLASA), Keinou.

Sekhar Tensubam put NACO 1-0 ahead after 15 minutes before Chingangbam Nongpoknganba doubled the advantage in the 50th minute and Semjetsabam Boboy rounded off the scoring after 80 minutes.

In another Group B match staged later at the same venue, Sang-gai Heroes sealed a 1-0 win over NEROCA FC thanks to Sakil Ahmed's 73rd minute strike.
