IMPC blank NVO 3-0 as 2nd IE District Polo Tournament kicks off

Imphal, January 15 2022: Ibudhou Marjing Polo Club (IMPC) thrashed New Vision Organisation (NVO) Polo Club by 3-0 goals in the opening match of the 2nd Imphal East District Polo Tournament opener.

The tournament is organised by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association (MHRPA) in collaboration with the New Vision Organisation, Yairipok at Yairipok Top Chingtha and Ningthounai Kangjeibung Lampak with the participation of 7 teams.

The goals that ensured IMPC win 3-0 and set up a semi-final date with Chingkheihunba Polo Club-A on January 17 were scored by Bankar, N Ranjan and Michael.

Bankar's goal came up in the first chukker as NVO drew blank before N Ranjan doubled the advantage till halfway by hammering home his lone goal in the fourth minute of the second chukker.

The final goal was scored by Michael in the closing minute of the final chukker.

X-Polo Club will play Chingkheihunba Polo Club-C in a quarter final match tomorrow before Chingkheihunba Polo Club-B play Paradise Polo Club in another quarter final match.
