Imphal, August 14 2021: Maram Battalion of Jwalamukhi Sector/IGAR (E) organised a friendly volleyball competition in Sankhumei and distributed sports items.

In a release, AR stated that a total of 12 teams from Sankhumei, Sunkhulung, Ranjamei, Kanem, Bindramei, Yang Khullen, Thuyang, Kanelo, Willong Khullen and Willong Khunao villages participated in the event.

The purpose of the programme was to reach out to the youth on the occasion of 75th Independence Day and make them understand the value of unity and serving the country as one, it added.

The release mentioned that Rajamei village youth won the competition after an enthralling final, while volleyball, footballs and medicines were also distributed to the local youth at the programme.
