ASISC National Senior Football: PCA stun Kerala school 1-0 to clinch title

Ukhrul, October 12 2015:
The Patkai Christian Academy (PCA) registered a 1-0 win against a school representing Kerala to clinch the title of ASISC National Senior Boys' Football, today at Bekal Kasarakod, Kerala.
In today's final, a lone strike from PCA's Thangmeingam Jajo helped West Bengal Chapter ( Eastern & North East States), clinch a narrow win against Kerala (Southern Chapter) .
Out of four matches, PCA scored 11 goals inwhich Soshingam Longvah was adjudged the best scorer while VS Ngathingshim bagged the best midfielder
title.
PCA were named the most energetic team of the tournament and were awarded the "Bengal Tiger" title.
PCA represented the football team of West Bengal Chapter & North East States at the tournament after defeating St Stephen's School, Dum Dum by a margin of 5 goals to one in the previous West Bengal Chapter football tournament held at Malda in August 2015.The tournament was organised for all the affiliated schools to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), New Delhi.
In the meantime, the acting principal Donray A Shishak expressed his gratitude to the PCA senior football team on behalf of the faculties and student community for bringing excellent record in the sporting activities of Ukhrul.
It may be mentioned that the continuous efforts as well as the enthusiasm in their sporting activities led to excellence bringing laurels to the State.
