MSA announces State Aquatic teams

Imphal, June 12 2018: State aquatic teams which will take part in the 35th Glenmark Sub-Junior National and 45th Junior National Aquatic championship 2018 under the aegis of Swimming Federation of India have been announced today on the recommendation of selection committee and approval of the Executive Council of Manipur Swimming Association.

H Naoba Sharma of CSC (group IV); Mahananda Thockhom of MGMC, S Athouba Meitei of CSC, Rahul Shagolshem of MGMC, L Rakesh Singh of CSC and Reekender Achom of NLM (Group III) are named in the sub-junior boys swimming team while the girls team will consist of K Kevashri Devi of TYC and L Ritika of CSC (group IV); Yaiphabi Thoudam of ESU and L Jessica Chanu (Group III).

Hiren of MGMC, S Punsiba of MGMC, Kh Nganba Meitei of WYLCO, N Jeson of KKDA and H Alsih of CSC will take part in the Group II events while Y Tondonba of KYO and L Ricky Singh of WYLCO will participate in the Group I events.

The junior girls swimming team include Dekalu Th Panmei and Matilda Laithangbam of CSC (Group II).

Boys Water Polo team will feature L Manglemba and L Yaiphaba of CSC; M Thouba Meitei, A Alvish and K Angamba of KYO; M Benhur, Terish Nongmaithem and M Avinash of SEDOC; L Velenjit and Lenis Laishram of WYLCO; Ch Devason of ESU and W Gulson and RK Robart of KKDO.

On the other hand the girls' water polo team include N Sweety Chanu of ARKSU; H Monalika Chanu and Premika Th of CSC; Kh Leishembi, M Binita and Ahanthem Yaiphabi of MGMC; K Urvashi and L Loushingthoihenbi of TYC; K Pinky and Ch Marina of ESU; A Ngansana Devi of SEDOC; Henthoibi Seram of NLM and S Sonali.

The teams will be led by Kh Jila as Manager, M Purnachandra Singh as water polo coach, N Debeshwor as diving coach and M Linthoingambi as swimming coach.
