Imphal, February 12 2022: Chakpikarong YC, Phungchung YC entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 2nd Toupokpi Sports Meet football organised by the Toupokpi Youth Club at its ground as Paraolon FC post second round win to secure quarter final round berths.

In the first quarter final match of the tournament, Chakpikarong YC rode on WS Phohrin double (38', 64') to edge out Hnahringkhu YC 3-1 .

NI Phowlson opened up the scoring for the victors in the 19th minute before Phohrin doubled the advantage in the 38th minute.

RD Wolnihping had pulled back a goal for Hnahringkhu YC at the stroke of hour mark before Phohrin scored yet again to make it 3-1 .

Meanwhile in the second quarter final match, Phungchung YC outlasted BSU HMT 4-1 thanks to TS Nicky hattrick in the 31st, 40th and the 47th minutes while Bhungho after BSU HMT had taken the lead via Solomon goal in the 27th minute.

Bhungho added the other goal for the winning team in the 69th minute of the match.

Meanwhile in a second round clash, Paraolon FC beat Nungpan YC 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw during regulation time to earn a quarter final berth.

Motilar (6') scored the opener for the Nungpan YC but Jumluff conceded an own goal in the 18th minute to make it 1-1 .

Bungjing of Paraolon scored another in the added time of the first half (35+1') to take a 2-1 lead before Ngamngoulen scored the equaliser for Nungpan YC in the 54th minute.

The game was decided by penalty shootout as the two sides remained locked till the regulation time and Mokham, Rengchot, Thomas, Bungjing and Nex scored for the winning team from the spot to ensure a 7-6 finish.

Meanwhile, Leveson, Motilar, Minthang and Kolarhi scored for the losing team in the shootout.
