Pu Demkhosiek Memorial Volleyball : YPA, YMDO, MPSC extend winning runs to ensure last 8 round berths

Imphal, December 11 2019: YPA, Hiyanglam Hiranmei; YMDO, Heirangoithong, MPSC; KYLSC, Kachikhul stretched their winning runs at the 1 st Pu Demkhosiek Memorial Men's Open Volleyball Tournament which is underway in Churachandpur.

In the first Pool-B league match of the day, MTVT sealed a hard fought 25-23, 25-21 win against SSC while UKSC down SB, Churachandpur by 29-27, 25-22 sets in a similar close encounter.

YMDO which beat NYVA, Naorem in straight sets yesterday earned their second win beating SSC by 25-20, 25-11 margin today before beating MTVT in straight sets to ensure their place in the quarter finals.

YPA which had defeated HYDCCL, Heigrujam and KVA, Kangpokpi in their previous Pool A fixture completed the league campaign with a 25-14, 25-20 win against 25 AR, Churachandpur today and emerge pool winners.

In another Pool A league match, HYDCCL defeated KVA 25-9, 25-21.In the first Pool D league match of the day, KYLSC, Kachikhul thumped Rising Club, Churachandpur in straight sets (25-22, 25-13) while TKUVC sealed a 25-21, 25-11 win against TAYC, Tuibong in another Pool D league match.

In the lone Group C fixture of the day, MPSC registered their second win by thrashing KSO, Tuilangkuol 25-16, 25-13 and guaranteed their place in the quarter finals.
