YPHU qualifies for CC Meet

Imphal, December 11 2012: Two times winner and three times runner up of the CC Meet, YPHU, Lalambung Makhong has been qualified for the 56th edition of Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Invitation Football Tournament 2012 after defeating Citizen's Club, Soibam Leikai 2-0 in the last round of the qualifier played today at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) is organising the tournament.

The two goals of YPHU were scored by A Hemanta and M Rabindra in the 22nd and 68th minutes of the match respectively.

On the other hand, Citizens' Club players failed to score a single goal throughout the match and lost it.

L Abung of YPHU, L Gopeshwar and M Saratchandra of Citizens' Club were issued a yellow card each for playing fouls during the match.

In the next match tomorrow, PHLYO, Thangmeiband and ZTFC, Chandel will fight for a berth in the 56th CC Meet.
