MU fencing team for All India Inter University Championship announced

Imphal, October 10 2024: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has announced the names of players who will be representing the university in the All India Inter University Fencing (M &W) Championship to be held from November 6 to 10 at the University of Jammu, Jammu.

The players who made it to the men and women's teams based on their performances during the trials conducted on October 7 are as follows.

Men's

Epee : Tondonsana N of Standard College, Th Dingkiraj Meitei of KP College, K Kane of KP College and Ch Prithibiraj of Regional College.

Reserves : G Jashobanta of Standard College and N Benson of KP College.

Foil : Khaidem Ricky of Regional College, S Washington of Regional College, Atom Revin Singh of Kakching Khunou College and Robertson Sh of Standard College.

Reserves : Loyumba Haobam of Regional College and Th Alvis of Manipur University.

Sabre : A Thoinao Singh of Regional College, Remo Oinam of Biramangol College, Yohenba Waikhom of Manipur College and Klearin Maibam of Modern College.

Women's

Epee : Huirem Jenita Devi of Standard College, K Chandrika Devi of Standard College, Ph Bijiya of KP College and Naorem Robina Devi of Kakching Khunou College.

Foil : W Sonia Devi of Kakching Khunou College, Kh Anjali Chanu of Biramangol College, H Bala Chanu of Standard College and Kh Debita Devi of Manipur College.

Sabre : P Sonia Chanu of Biramangol College, Linthoingambi Okram of Ideal Girls' College, Celina Leishungbam of TS Paul MW College and Seram Roshni Chanu of Manipur College.

The Department of Sports further instructed the selected players to report to the office of the Assistant Director of Sports, MU, Dr Ch Pradeep Singh at Dr Kamal Indoor Hall of the University on October 16 at 11 am for further coaching and other related details.
