St Anthony, BSC, ESU and SRWC register victory in 23rd Senior State Basketball C'ship

Imphal, October 10 2019: St Anthony, Chingmeirong defeated Model Club, Chingamakha by 35-24 points in the 1st league match while BSC, Bamon Leikai downed ESU, Wangkhei by 38-27 points in the 2nd league match in women section of the ongoing 23rd edition of Senior State Basketball Championship organised under the aegis of Manipur Basketball Associationat Nahabam Basketball Court today.

Whereas, in men's group A league match, ESU Wangkhei romped past YOSU Khurai by 84-60 points while in men's group B league match, Sega Road Welfare Club beat Lamka Hooper by 63-50 points.

Altogether 10 teams, clubbed in two groups, are participating in the men's category while 4 team competed in the women's event.

LLYVA Lalambung will meet Model Club Chingamakha at 6.30 am tomorrow in men's group A league match while Kakching Basketball Association with face Ideal Club Tera at 7.30 am.

In women's league match, Model Club Chingamakha will lock horn with BSC Bamon Leikai at 4 pm while St Anthony Chingmeirong will square off with ESU Wangkhei at 5 pm .
